To mean people, critical thinking is desirable unless it's too critical.
Some others will try to outstand by being desteuctively critical, while others will believe they are critical just by repeating what considered critical thinkers have already questioned.
It's not a matter of looking good, it's a matter of courage for good reasons, to stop masses stupidity from destroying and hurting, that includes many, many, things, what men can do to women, what cis can do to LGBT, what the rich cam do to the poor.... but also the ither way around in each one of these cases. The innertia of thought is not being critical at all.
