The Laws of Stupidity

One flaw I see in this video is it's condescending with the audience, possibly pandering to them:

Intelligent people would never ever underestimate:

  1. The number of stupid people in society.
  2. The grade of their stupidity.
  3. The harming effects of their stupidity.

A person who believes the majority are intelligent is at most, condescending and hence stupid. At worst, that person can't truly assess the stupidity of others, so can't be intelligent either.

A person that believes the grade of stupidity of the majorities is low implies that person believes we're already living in utopia and there are no ancient problems we, supposedly a smart species, have been incapable of fixing. The majority is even still relying in ancient ideologies and religions barely with variations.

A person that can't easily foresee the pernicious effects of stupidity in society and is already an adult, that person is simply part of the stupid majority or hasn't have access to any information in the age of technology. Hence, repeating the same mistakes the supposedly "smartest species" has already committed in the past till exhaustion.

Stupidity, as any other vice, is easier to achieve, so many will already comply. In top of that, moderately stupid people is afraid and incapable of assess reality, and want to be part of the majority, the stupidity effect is exponentiated.

Being able to recognize patterns just requires some good observation and honesty, while intelligence is able to create new things based on former information. So even if a person is not brilliant, that person can avoid stupidity by having the courage not to agree with the stupid majority.

The stupid majorities don't understand why anbydoy would bother to think in the effects of the stupidity in their lives, why would those people make their lives bitterer instead of just simply "live their lives"; still, commemorate the achievements of the tiny portion of people in history that cared later on.
