The longer this nasty invasion lasts, the more Russian citizens will be alienated by average people in their colective minds, even anti-war peaceful russians. It's not like the masses have no tendencies to prejudice and simplified thinking.
Putin will get nothing positive out of this, he's blatantly stupid, not smart as his servile silly propaganda portrayed himself all these years.
Let us assume he wanted to isolate and polarize regions globally and form blocks, so each region has its economical exchange, ideology, cultural exchange, isolated internet connectivity, etc. Isn't that achievable simply by the implementation of laws and agreements with his international partners he wants to isolate with to reach exactly the same outcome in a far more economical and prestigious way?, it's obvious isolation has never been his original plan, he wants more.
