Beyond the Ideology, it is obvious it is better quality over quantity.

The risk of Massive Immigration we have been facing in the recent centuries is not the Immigration per-se, but the Massive. Doing everything in mass, any mistake affecting exponentially the environment, making hard to fix it. It is easily understandable that the more mouths to feed, the more resources needed, the more work, and the more waste is produced.

Being afraid of "immigrants stealing jobs" but not being afraid of us ourselves "stealing our children's jobs" by recklessly having too many kids, is incoherent, a taboo no one dared to talk about clearly and loudly a very few years ago. Traveling is key to developing smarter humans. We, sedentary humans, lack the capability to marvel; to appreciate other life forms and ecosystems; to feel and face different weathers and challenges one cannot experience by living a lifetime in the same place; worst of all, we tend to think "we already know", "we are already right", "there is a way to be". Beyond slogans, diversity gives different points of views, more than the diffuse added value idealists cannot explain. The more diverse experiences we get in touch with, the less close-minded we will be.

But it becomes impossible to have such a healthy flow of people around the globe if some of us in some regions stick to our ancestral mindset of settling for shelter and security, breeding lots of kids that "could help us harvesting the land and facing the challenges the tribe could face". We cannot be the same we were in our origins, we cannot say we are smarter and more educated, more sophisticated and advanced, and at the same time having to still care about tribes' conflicts, attempting to avoid being conquered by tribes of different races, religions or simply geographical regions. Two people breeding two people is reasonably enough to mathematically risk-free guarantee sustainable population. Of course there is a risk of fundamentalists to take advantage of our fewer numbers and keep overbreeding and retaining silently ancient religions, or racial pride, with the hidden agenda of imposing them by force in the future, once they have outnumbered the rest. It takes a civilized pure will of constructive cooperation to give in for all of us sake, but it also requires demanding the same disposition from the rest of the world.

It is not true reproduction is a right, perhaps it was when we were uncivilized and the number of us guaranteed not being extinguished by stubborn territorial rival tribes who saw the world the same way a primitive lion sees it. Reproduction is a responsibility, and it is even of my convenience my close and far neighbors to reproduce, to have children. We have barely understood how nature of genetics works, why two smart people could give birth to fool children, and how geniuses can be born in the core of a family of morons. The same distortions that occur when families reproduce under incestuous relations is giving a clue to our mathematical brains to infer we could have been promoting those same genetical limitations when breeding kids only with members of our tribes and races, as if Life's Nature would love, thrive and hence encourage its members to be exposed to significant variations that allow vast combinations, different proofs of concept, not only when we become grown and mature organisms able to explore the world, but also since our very inception. So we could see all the members of our species as links in the evolution of all of us. Far from being this a romantic idealism, many of us are objectively going to be "evolutionary mistakes", "wasted attempts", but a few will be real breakthroughs if the environment we procure eases it, rather than obstructing it. We better bet to be smarter enough to prevent ancient beliefs to govern our behavior and laws; we better implement smart unpopular policies sooner than later, not only on our home countries, but also urge our less civilized neighbors (or our own governments) to understand the risks of our viral propagation, and serve by example at the same time.

Cultures that are destroying what they call "their land", are destroying the ecosystems of all of us, future wise unbounded travelers. And the species they are killing are our great grand children's opportunity of living in an interesting world full of different life forms, life forms that the illiterate appreciates exclusively on sci-fi movies.

We do not need more but better human beings, human beings that solve problems while traveling, rather than creating new ones, that travel to develop, rather than just to find more comfortable places they could not procure in their origin countries.
