Ppl like to think theyre superior to the ppl in whatever group they hate But if you were born into their world, youd be just like them. Perhaps youd fight your way out, perhaps not The point is: inherent evil is not a prerequisite. Most ppl are good but caught in an evil web.
This goes for everyone: Racists Homophobes Sexists Etc But it still applies to the worst groups humanity has to offer: neo-Nazis and Jihadis. Some are inherently evil, of course, but most are just followers-ensnared in that world for different reasons.

The "evil web rather than evil individuals" is a dangerous excuse that might invite people not to oppose. If we are doing terrible things, we are evil people, no matter our reasons or excuses.
