Boring food

It is very hard for us, standard people, to avoid subjective assesments of intelligence without fitting it to favor our own situation. We ought to fight our internal biases and at the same time  speak out without fear of being misinterpreted or miss something.

It has been hard to me to understand people having fun with something as ordinary as eating. To me, lunch time is just a damned necessity we, supposedly smart minds, should do just not to die, jusy to fuel our body, as fast as possible, it would be by taking pills if it were healthy and effective.

Taste is no longer mandatory (it has not been since several centuries ago) as our knowledge have evolved enough to know what is healthy and what is poisonous without the need of tasting it anymore. We are actually betraying our body before our tongue by eating things some people know are harmful for them, just because of their taste, so taste becomes even less useful. For instance, alcohol, fats, artificial  sugar. Another example: they use to say chilli is healthy; my tongue led me to refuse it since I was a kid and I have known of many people having stomach issues for eating or drinking the irritant food they "cannot" quit. I was recently told the reason people love spicy food is because it opens their taste buds up and this allows them to taste the flavor of the rest of the dish in deeper detail.

Eventhough they presume caring about health, they do not really care, they care more about taste than nutrients, they would rather estimulate their tongue, like children eating candies. They find on food an experience. Curiously, fruits were intended for those purposes, to attract us, but we are stubbornly looking for other things, some of them repugnant as insects, blood or brains, and they easily get used due to the open mind they do it with because "they love cuisine". Marketing?, status?

Cooking and eating has been used as a primary excuse for cultural interchange and forge social relationships, like dancing. Before a lack of interesting things to discuss, banal excuses are used by average people to socially succeed. The most brilliant minds have had matters interesting enough as for not having needed such trivial excuses to meet each other.

I've seen the vast majority of the people, though it shouldn't necessarily be that way, tend to specialize the use of a certain number of neurons. The ones used more intensively in one part of our body will cause us to use less extensively our neurons on the rest of the body, and less smart people will always favor the ones that imply less effort.

Giving that senseless psychotic importance to the neurons on our tongues might have distracted human kind to excercise our most important neurons located at the top of our body.
